Mix It Up Monday: Janine Jackson

Do you remember the Mix It Up Mondays segment?  Each Monday from January 2010 to April 2011, I featured a guest writer or topic that was different from my usual blog topics. The idea behind Mix It Up Mondays: the weekend was fun and relaxing and heading to work on Monday's is dreaded. Readers can start off the week with thought provoking articles on an array of topics that will further the mind.

I been missing Mix It Up Mondays, so a few weeks ago I asked people to submit: poems, stories, recipes, photos, music, etc. Anything that they felt like sharing. I got a couple of responses, then I got busy and never posted them. Yikes! Well today, even though it is not Monday, I wanted to share what Janine Jackson (you might remember her as PlantFolk) sent me. It spoke to me on so many different levels and I am sure it will speak to you as well.

This week on Mix It Up Monday is a image created by Janine Jackson and the Bruce Lee quote she paired  it with. If you would like to see more by Janine Jackson, you can reach her on her webpage, Tumblr, or email at inspired.sis(at)gmail(dot)com.

You might as well be dead. Seriously, if you always put limits on what you can do, physically or anything else, it’ll spread over into the rest of your life. It’ll spread into your work, into your morality, into your entire being. There are no limits. There are plateaus, but you must not stay there, you must go beyond them. If it kills you, it kills you. A man must constantly exceed his level.
Bruce Lee

Janine says to Meditate on her eyes and observe where they take you. Read more on this piece on her blog.
